About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative
Character Modeling Artist
to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating high-quality 3D character models that align with the artistic direction, technical requirements, and production deadlines of our projects. You will collaborate closely with concept artists, animators, riggers, and technical artists to bring compelling characters to life for games, films, or cinematic productions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create
    high-resolution 3D character models
    (realistic, stylized, or hybrid) based on concept art, design briefs, or scans.
  • Develop optimized
    game-ready assets
    , including topology, UVs, and textures.
  • Sculpt detailed anatomy, clothing, hair, and accessories with attention to form, proportion, and realism.
  • Work closely with rigging and animation teams to ensure characters deform and perform correctly.
  • Collaborate with concept artists and art directors to maintain the project's
    artistic vision
    .
  • Apply PBR texturing workflows using software such as Substance Painter, Mari, or Photoshop.
  • Ensure models are optimized for performance across platforms while maintaining visual fidelity.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, new tools, and techniques in
    character creation and 3D pipelines
    .

Qualifications & Skills

  • Proven experience as a Character Artist/Modeler in games, film, or animation (portfolio required).
  • Strong proficiency in
    Maya, Blender
    .
  • Expertise in
    ZBrush
    for digital sculpting.
  • Experience with
    Substance Painter, Mari, Photoshop, or other texturing tools
    .
  • Solid understanding of
    human and creature anatomy
    , proportion, and form.
  • Knowledge of
    retopology, UV mapping, and baking workflows
    .
  • Strong artistic eye for detail, design, and storytelling through characters.
  • Ability to work in a
    collaborative team environment
    and meet deadlines.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with
    hair and fur systems
    (XGen, Ornatrix, Grooming tools).
  • Knowledge of
