Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated QA Automation Engineer to join our agile scrum team. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in automation frameworks, manual testing, and API testing, while working closely with developers, product owners, and business stakeholders to ensure high-quality software delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with agile scrum team members to plan, design, and execute test strategies.
  • Perform
    in-sprint automation
    and
    manual testing
    (functional, integration, end-to-end, and regression).
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain automation scripts using
    Selenium WebDriver, Java, TestNG, Maven, Eclipse IDE
    .
  • Conduct
    API testing
    using tools like
    REST Assured and Postman
    .
  • Maintain automation code in
    Git/GitHub
    , ensuring scalability and reusability.
  • Work with
    CI/CD tools (Jenkins)
    to integrate and execute automated test suites.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (onsite/offshore) to ensure seamless testing and quality coverage.
  • Debug and troubleshoot issues, reporting defects via
    JIRA
    with clarity and detail.
  • Ensure test coverage across web services, REST APIs, SOAP, and microservices.
  • Continuously optimize automation frameworks and testing processes.
  • Contribute to best practices for automation testing and mentor junior team members if required.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 6–8 years
    of QA experience with a minimum of
    5 years in quality assurance testing
    (functional, regression, integration, E2E).
  • At least
    3 years of hands-on automation experience
    with Selenium WebDriver, Java, TestNG, Maven, Eclipse IDE, and JIRA.
  • Minimum
    2 years of API testing
    experience with REST Assured & Postman.
  • Solid experience in
    Core Java
    for automation framework development.
  • Strong knowledge of
    web services, REST API, SOAP, and microservices testing
    .
  • Experience with
    Git/GitHub
    for version control and
    Jenkins
    for CI/CD.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to work in
    onsite/offshore model teams
    .

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with
    JavaScript/TypeScript, BPM testing, and Cypress
    .
  • Exposure to performance testing or security testing tools.
