Associate Google Cloud Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled
Google Cloud Engineer
to design, build, and optimize scalable cloud platforms. This role requires expertise in
deployments, release management, DevOps, infrastructure automation, and platform setup
on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will bring strong technical depth in
Kubernetes, CI/CD, Terraform, and cloud-native automation
, with a passion for delivering reliable and efficient systems at scale.

Key Responsibilities:

Cloud Engineering & Deployments

• Architect, provision, and manage production-grade workloads on
  Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  .
• Lead
  end-to-end deployments and release management
  , ensuring zero-downtime and smooth rollouts.
• Implement best practices for cost optimization, security compliance, and GCP-native automation.

DevOps & Platform Setup

• Design and maintain
  CI/CD pipelines
  (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) for continuous delivery.
• Set up and optimize
  Kubernetes (GKE) clusters
  , including scaling, resource management, and cluster security.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure efficient
  integration, automated testing, and release pipelines
  .

Infrastructure Automation

• Define and manage infrastructure using
  Terraform
  , building modular and reusable configurations.
• Automate repetitive operational tasks through
  Python, Go, and Bash scripting
  .
• Champion
  Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  practices to achieve consistency, repeatability, and reliability.

Monitoring & Operations

• Implement robust
  monitoring, logging, and alerting
  (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Stackdriver).
• Troubleshoot complex issues in GCP, GKE, and containerized environments.
• Support
  incident management, root cause analysis, and long-term system improvements
  .

Required Skills & Experience

• Programming/Scripting:
  Proficient in Python, Go, and Bash with strong automation expertise.
• GCP Expertise:
  2+ years hands-on with GCP services (Compute, Networking, IAM, Storage, Cloud SQL, BigQuery, etc.).
• Kubernetes (GKE):
  Strong experience managing production clusters and workloads.
• CI/CD:
  Proven track record designing enterprise pipelines with Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
• Terraform:
  Hands-on IaC experience with modular, production-ready Terraform setups.
• Release & Deployments:
  Skilled in release orchestration, deployment strategies, and rollback mechanisms.

Preferred Qualifications

• GCP Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer or Architect certification.
• Familiarity with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd).
• Knowledge of security best practices: IAM, workload identity, secrets management.
• Awareness of AI/ML integration in cloud DevOps workflows (a plus).
