Job Description: Senior Baker

Experience: Minimum 5+ years in bakery production

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced and skilled Senior Baker to oversee daily bakery operations, ensure product quality, and support recipe development. The ideal candidate should be proficient in a wide range of baking techniques and capable of handling high-volume production while maintaining consistency and standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and bake a wide variety of breads, rolls, pastries, and bakery items.
  • Supervise and support junior bakers and bakery assistants.
  • Ensure consistent taste, texture, and presentation across all products.
  • Develop new bakery products, improve existing recipes, and assist in menu planning.
  • Maintain bakery equipment, tools, and work areas in clean and safe condition.
  • Manage inventory levels, monitor stock rotation, and request supplies as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with hygiene, sanitation, and food safety regulations.
  • Monitor baking schedules and production output to meet demand.
  • Handle dough preparation, mixing, proofing, shaping, and baking.
  • Troubleshoot baking issues and adjust recipes or techniques when needed.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Diploma in Baking, Culinary Arts, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience in bakery operations.
  • Strong knowledge of bread-making, artisanal techniques, pastries, and dough handling.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain high production standards.
  • Good leadership, organization, and communication skills.
  • Creativity in developing new bakery items.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet daily production targets.
  • Understanding of food safety and HACCP standards.
