Assistant Teacher (Physics) – Job Description

Role Summary

Support the Physics department in delivering effective teaching, help manage classroom activities, and assist with academic and administrative tasks to improve student learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the main Physics teacher in planning and delivering lessons as per the CBSE curriculum.
• Help prepare teaching materials, lab setups, practical activities, and demonstrations.
• Support students during classwork, assignments, and lab sessions.
• Help with maintaining student records, worksheets, assessment data, and documentation required by the school.
• Supervise students during practical work to maintain safety and discipline.
• Help in organizing remedial classes, enrichment activities, science fairs, and other academic events.
• Work with the main teacher to identify learning gaps and provide academic support where needed.
• Maintain discipline and ensure that classroom routines align with school and CBSE norms.
• Assist in invigilation duties, internal assessments, and exam-related tasks.
• Participate in professional development programs recommended by the school or CBSE.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science with Physics as a main subject.
• B.Ed as per CBSE requirements for teaching staff.
• Good communication and classroom management skills.
• Basic understanding of laboratory procedures and safety practices.

Preferred Skills

• Comfort with audio-visual teaching tools and digital platforms.
• Ability to work collaboratively with the main teacher and academic team.
• Patience, adaptability, and a supportive approach toward students.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25, ₹35,000.00 per month
