Overview

  • The Database Lead is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of database systems
  • This role requires a deep understanding of database architecture, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage a team of database professionals

Key Responsibilities

  • Database Design & Architecture: Develop and implement database architectures that meet the organization's requirements
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and availability across all database systems
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of database administrators and developers
  • Foster a collaborative environment to encourage innovation and efficiency
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize database performance to ensure fast and reliable access to data
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database issues in a timely manner
  • Security & Compliance: Implement security measures to protect data from unauthorized access and breaches
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Project Management: Manage database-related projects from inception to completion
  • Coordinate with other departments to align database strategies with business goals

Required Qualifications Education:

  • Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Experience: Proven experience in database management and leadership roles
  • Expertise in database technologies such as SQL, NoSQL, Oracle, or MongoDB
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Preferred Qualifications Masters degree in a related field
  • Certifications in database management or related technologies
  • Experience with cloud-based database solutions.
