Inviting applications for the role of Senior Principal Consultant - Senior Cloud Engineer

Mid-level role combining AWS cloud (65%) and networking (35%) expertise with hands-on Fortinet, VLAN, and firewall experience. The candidate will manage cloud infrastructure deployments and collaborate with senior cloud engineers, aligning with budget and Genpact team structure.

Responsibilities

Cloud:

• Configure, maintain, and optimize AWS-based cloud infrastructure to ensure performance, scalability, and reliability.

• Design, implement, and manage Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform (or CloudFormation).

• Lead deployment automation initiatives with PowerShell, Python, or Bash.

• Administer and patch Windows and Linux systems, ensuring compliance with security and regulatory standards.

• Monitor and respond to system alerts from tools such as and AD Manager Plus, performing root-cause analysis and long-term remediation.

• Manage and optimize CI/CD pipelines and application deployments.

• Configure and maintain networking infrastructure, including Fortinet firewalls, switches, and access points.

• Provide support for Active Directory and hybrid identity and access management environments.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot complex issues and drive system reliability.

• Develop and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and operational standards.

• Participate in on-call rotations and incident response activities as needed

Networking:

Experience in maintaining deploying & troubleshooting network and security solutions.

Provides technical leadership of networking methodologies and technologies and drive technical standards.

Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing, switching, and security.

Configuration Cisco and Fortinet devices

Analysys of deep flow logs in cloud networking and Packet Analysis.

Understanding VLANs and how to implement tagging and QoS, On-premise firewall rules and policies, enabling or disabling switch ports

Set up VLANs and configurations

Experience with network upgrade and maintenance procedures.

Have thorough comprehension of protocols including TCP, UDP, FTP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, STP, ARP, Ethernet, OSPF, BGP, etc.

Qualifications we seek in you

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience in a Cloud and Networking

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS core services (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch).

• Proven expertise with Terraform or CloudFormation.

• Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, or Bash).

• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, TCP/IP, routing, VPNs, VLANs).

• Experience administering and patching Windows and Linux systems.

• Experience configuring and maintaining networking infrastructure, including Fortinet firewalls, switches, and access points.

• Knowledge of cloud security best practices and disaster recovery design.

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills

• Familiarity with advanced AWS services (Lambda, Redshift, Elasticsearch, Kafka, MongoDB, Redis).

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Experience with monitoring/logging tools such as Cribl, , or similar.

• Exposure to CI/CD tools (TeamCity, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Bamboo).

• Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker) and container orchestration (Kubernetes or ECS).

• Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as PCI DSS or HIPAA.

• Deepening expertise in advanced networking across hybrid and cloud environments.

• Expanding knowledge of cloud-native security services and compliance automation.

• Building skills in emerging AWS services and scalable data platforms.
