Job Title: Application Developer - SAP ABAP

Experience: 7+ years (minimum 6 years relevant in SAP ABAP & SAP PI)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Application Developer SAP ABAP with strong expertise in SAP PI development. The ideal candidate should have hands-on technical expertise in ABAP programming and integrations, along with the ability to lead, manage, and deliver enhancements, upgrades, and critical support activities. This role requires strong communication skills and client-facing experience, with a proven track record of managing end-to-end SAP development projects.

Key Skills

  • SAP ABAP Expertise: Advanced proficiency in ABAP Programming, Debugging (standard & custom objects), Reports, Function Modules, Interfaces (FTP, IDocs, BAPIs), Enhancements, Background Jobs, and Performance Tuning.
  • SAP PI Development: Strong experience in designing and maintaining SAP PI integrations.
  • Client Interaction: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to lead discussions and act in a client-facing role.

Additional / Good-to-Have Skills

  • Exposure to Life Sciences industry processes.
  • Experience with upgrade activities (SPAU, SPDD).
  • Knowledge of release management processes.

Responsibilities & Leadership Activities

  • Conduct audits and prepare effort estimations for enhancements, upgrades, and migration projects.
  • Coordinate and communicate across multiple systems to ensure smooth and timely delivery.
  • Manage and resolve high-priority (P1/P2) incidents and plan/execute maintenance or downtime activities.
  • Lead resource management and team coordination to ensure project deliverables meet quality standards.
