Overview An Export Logistics (Agri/Spices/Soya) role will be responsible for managing and coordinating the shipment of goods from a country to international destinations. It involves overseeing the entire export logistics process to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery. The role plays a vital part in maintaining strong relationships with international partners, optimizing supply chain efficiency, and ensuring compliance with export regulations.Key responsibilities
  • Coordinate and monitor export shipments to ensure on-time delivery
  • Negotiate freight rates and select optimal transportation methods
  • Prepare and manage export documentation, including customs clearance
  • Collaborate with internal teams to forecast shipping needs and maintain adequate inventory levels
  • Ensure compliance with export regulations and trade compliance policies
  • Assess and optimize supply chain processes to minimize costs and improve efficiency
  • Communicate with international partners to address logistical issues and maintain strong relationships
  • Track and report key performance indicators related to export logistics
  • Manage and resolve shipment delays and disruptions
  • Provide guidance and support for export compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Participate in logistical strategy development and process improvement initiatives
  • Coordinate with carriers and freight forwarders to arrange export shipments
  • Provide support for export documentation and record-keeping
  • Conduct regular audits of export logistics processes and documentation
  • Stay updated on changes in export regulations and industry best practices
Required qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • Proven experience in export logistics or international shipping
  • Knowledge of international trade regulations and export compliance requirements
  • Strong understanding of supply chain and logistics operations
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in export documentation and customs clearance processes
  • Effective communication and negotiation abilities
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Experience with freight forwarding and carrier management
  • Familiarity with export management systems and logistics software
  • Understanding of Incoterms and international shipping terms
  • Capability to adapt to changing logistics and shipping requirements
  • Knowledge of import/export documentation and banking processes
  • Certification in export compliance or logistics management is a plus
