Sr Staff Software Engineer

Responsibilities:

Maxlinear is seeking a Sr Staff Software Developer (Linux Network Processor) to join our dynamic team. We are looking for strong individuals who have passion to work on next generation networking products where performance and security are the key features. In this role you will be working on:

• Development of Platform Software based on Linux operating system and Broadband SDKs like Open with respect to , PrplOS, RDKB
• You will be required to work on Linux kernel development, development and integration of proprietary and open-source components into platform software and network data path development and debugging
• Your designs need to meet the highest standards of secure design and coding, high performance and fast response times and innovative solutions to the most vexing problems

Qualifications:

• Post Graduate or Graduate Engineering degree in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Science from a reputed college
• Excellent Programming skills in C/C++, Python
• Excellent design skills and problem-solving approach
• Working Experience in Broadband Software frameworks like Openwrt, PrplOS, RDKB
• Working Experience in Linux kernel development
• Deep knowledge and understanding of Networking protocols like TCP/IP Protocol suite
• Deep knowledge of Linux network packet processing, netfilter framework, and packet flow
• Excellence in embedded Linux software development and debugging in user and kernel space
• Deep knowledge and experience in debugging tools, system profiling and performance tuning like Lauterbach, perf
• Experience in analysis of kernel crash dump, memory corruption, rcu stalls, etc
• 8-12 years' work experience in a related field
• Good written and verbal communication skills
