Optimum is hiring for Database Engineer for Pune and Chennai Location , need candidates with 10+ Years of experience who can join us in short notice.

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced Database Engineer with over 10 years of hands-on expertise in designing, developing, and managing both traditional and modern database systems. The ideal candidate will have deep experience with RDBMS (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL), NoSQL databases (MongoDB), and cloud-native databases offered by AWS and Azure. A strong understanding of data platform integration, Change Data Capture (CDC), and cloud migration strategies is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and secure database solutions across multiple platforms.
  • Work with traditional RDBMS technologies including Oracle, SQL Server, and MySQL.
  • Implement and manage NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
  • Leverage cloud-native database services (e.g., Amazon RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB).
  • Lead and execute database migration projects from on-premises to cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
  • Implement Change Data Capture (CDC) mechanisms for real-time data replication and synchronization.
  • Collaborate with platform and application teams to ensure seamless data integration across systems.
  • Optimize database performance, ensure high availability, and implement disaster recovery strategies.
  • Maintain data security, compliance, and governance standards.
  • Develop automation scripts for database provisioning, monitoring, and maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues across environments.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in database engineering and development.
  • Strong proficiency in Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL.
  • Hands-on experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB.
  • Deep understanding of AWS and Azure database services.
  • Proven experience in data platform integration and cloud migration.
  • Expertise in implementing CDC using tools like Kafka or native DB features.
  • Familiarity with ETL/ELT pipelines and data warehousing concepts.
  • Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, Shell, PowerShell).
  • Experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines for database deployments.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
