Job Description: Azure Data Architect/ Engineer

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Azure Architect/Data Engineer who will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust data architectures and solutions using Microsoft Azure technologies. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Azure Data services and possess a strong analytical mindset, domain knowledge, and excellent communication skills. This role requires working closely with various stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and data flow across different platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Architecture and Design:

• Define and execute a data management strategy aligned with business objectives
• Design data models, including Dimensional, Relational, NoSQL, and Data Marts.
• Lead the design and maintenance of ELT/ETL pipelines with Azure Data Factory

Technical Implementation:

• Utilize Azure services like Data Factory, ADLS, Synapse, and Power BI to build data solutions.
• Conduct SQL optimization, Python programming
• Support visualization and insights through Power BI

Project Collaboration and Management:

• Work collaboratively with architects, technical leads, and business stakeholders to integrate technology solutions.
• Formulate deployment strategies to ensure scalability and reliability.
• Provide feedback on technical design, prototypes, and testing methodologies.

Operational Excellence:

• Develop robust integration with infrastructure, security, governance, and service delivery teams.
• Implement batch and streaming data pipelines using cloud technologies.
• Monitor, alert, and support production systems to ensure optimal performance.

Continuous Improvement and Innovation:

• Stay updated with the latest Azure technologies and suggest improvements and optimizations.
• Follow coding standards, best practices, and privacy/security guidelines.
• Participate in DevOps teams to own and support products through CI/CD pipelines.

Must-Have Technical Skills:

• Azure Data Factory, ADLS, Azure Synapse
• Azure SQL, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Entra ID
• SQL Optimization, Spark, Python

Good-to-Have Skills:

• Power BI
• Power Automate
• Microsoft Fabric

Qualifications:

• Minimum 7+ years of software solution development experience in an agile, DevOps-oriented environment.
• At least 5 years of data analytics experience using SQL.
• 3+ years of cloud development and data lake experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Strong scripting and development skills in Python, Spark, Unix, and SQL.
• Experience working with ERP data, preferably SAP
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, Azure DevOps.
