Job Description – Azure Data Engineer (MSBI + Azure Stack)

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced
Azure Data Engineer
with strong expertise in MSBI tools and Azure data services. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in building scalable data solutions, data pipelines, BI reporting, and migration of on-premises workloads to Azure. Active
Microsoft/Azure certification is mandatory
.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop, schedule, and manage
    ETL processes
    using
    SSIS
    and
    Azure Data Factory (ADF)
  • Build and optimize
    data models and OLAP cubes
    using
    SSAS
    and
    Azure Analysis Services
  • Design and deploy interactive
    reports and dashboards
    using
    SSRS and Power BI
  • Migrate
    on-premises SQL workloads
    to
    Azure SQL, Data Lake, and Synapse
  • Build scalable
    data pipelines and workflows
    using
    Databricks (PySpark)
  • Write advanced
    T-SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers
  • Implement
    CI/CD pipelines
    for data deployment and automation using
    Azure DevOps
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to convert requirements into
    technical solutions
  • Track, analyze, and resolve issues using
    ServiceNow, JIRA, or ALM
  • Maintain comprehensive
    technical documentation
    including
    Low-Level Design
    and
    testing artifacts

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong experience with
    MSBI tools
    : SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, and Power BI
  • Advanced SQL programming skills (SQL Server 2008 R2 – 2019)
  • Expertise in
    Azure PaaS services
    : Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse, Analysis Services, Cosmos DB
  • Knowledge of
    data warehousing, ETL principles, and data modeling
  • Hands-on programming in
    Python and C#
  • Strong knowledge of
    DevOps pipelines and CI/CD (Azure DevOps)
  • Experience in
    enterprise BI solutions
    including integration with
    Synapse, Purview, and Power BI
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills

Nice-to-Have Certifications

(Active certification is mandatory; one or more of the following preferred)

  • Microsoft Certified:
    Azure Data Engineer (DP-203)
  • Microsoft Certified:
    Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900 / AZ-400)
  • Microsoft Certified:
    Data Analyst Associate (Power BI)
  • Microsoft Certified:
    Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)
  • Microsoft Certified:
    Azure Database Administrator Associate (DP-300)
  • Microsoft Certified:
    SQL Server Database Development
  • DP-500 (Enterprise Data Analyst)

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in
    Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Relevant
    Microsoft/Azure certifications are mandatory
