About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced
Android SDK Developer
to design, develop, and maintain software development kits (SDKs) that power our innovative home gym and connected fitness solutions. This role is focused on building robust, high-performance Android SDKs in
Java or Kotlin
, with the flexibility to interface with hardware, IoT devices, and embedded systems where needed. Proficiency in C/C++ for low-level integrations will be considered a strong plus.

You will collaborate closely with mobile app teams, product managers, and hardware engineers to ensure our SDKs are developer-friendly, secure, and highly reliable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain Android SDKs in
    Java/Kotlin
    for seamless integration with our home gym equipment and mobile apps.
  • Build APIs, libraries, and developer tools that enable third-party integrations.
  • Collaborate with mobile app developers to ensure smooth integration and usage of SDK features.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented Android code.
  • Optimize SDK performance for mobile environments and connected device scenarios.
  • Integrate SDKs with IoT devices, Bluetooth-enabled fitness equipment, and real-time data streams.
  • Troubleshoot and debug Android-specific issues, including memory management and performance bottlenecks.
  • Implement secure communication protocols and safeguard user data.
  • Stay updated on Android development trends, tools, and best practices.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in Android development with a focus on SDK/API creation
    .
  • Strong proficiency in
    Java and/or Kotlin
    .
  • Experience publishing and maintaining SDKs or libraries used by external developers.
  • Good understanding of Android architecture components, Jetpack libraries, and Gradle build systems.
  • Experience with Bluetooth (BLE), Wi-Fi, or other IoT communication protocols.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, and WebSocket/MQTT communication.
  • Proficiency in debugging, profiling, and performance optimization on Android.
  • C/C++ experience
    for low-level or native integrations is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Android NDK and JNI is an advantage.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with wearable devices, fitness tracking, or health-related apps.
  • Exposure to real-time data processing and streaming.
  • Hands-on experience with communication protocols like MQTT, BLE, or Wi-Fi.
  • Experience with cloud service integrations (AWS, Firebase, etc.).
