Program Coordinator – Hyderabad

Hera Foundation is looking for a 
Program Coordinator
 to lead employment linkages and worker support under our 
Childcare Worker Training Pilot
.

Role Overview

The Program Coordinator will ensure trained childcare workers secure dignified, safe, and sustainable livelihood opportunities across households, schools, crèches, hospitals, and agencies. The role involves employer engagement, mentoring workers, placement facilitation, and monitoring outcomes.

Key Details

  • Location: Hyderabad (with local field travel)
  • Salary: ₹50,000/month
  • Contract: 9 months (extendable based on performance)
  • Reporting: Program Manager

Responsibilities

  • Engage and build relationships with employers across childcare and allied sectors
  • Support placement of trained workers and facilitate trial placements/internships
  • Mentor workers for workplace readiness, including interview preparation, soft skills, and orientation on rights/expectations
  • Ensure worker safety, police verification, and grievance redressal
  • Track retention, satisfaction, and income growth; maintain placement records and reports
  • Analyse trends and suggest improvements in training and employer engagement

Eligibility

  • Graduate/Postgraduate in Social Work, Development Studies, Women's Studies, or related fields
  • 4–6 years of experience in livelihood programs, workforce development, or community engagement
  • Exposure to counselling, employer partnerships, or worker mobilization is an added advantage
  • Strong networks in childcare, education, healthcare, or service sectors desirable
  • Languages: Telugu, Hindi, English preferred
