Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Oracle APEX Lead to join our dynamic team. As an Oracle APEX Lead, you will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of Oracle Application Express (APEX) solutions, managing a team of developers, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Oracle APEX, PL/SQL, web technologies, and experience in leading teams through complex development projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Development: Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable Oracle APEX applications. Ensure adherence to best practices in software development, database management, and application performance optimization.
  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and guide a team of Oracle APEX developers, providing technical expertise and ensuring that project deliverables are met on time and to specification.
  • Client Interaction: Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to gather requirements, provide technical solutions, and deliver custom Oracle APEX applications that meet business objectives.
  • Application Design: Architect and design applications with complex workflows, custom components, and dynamic reports using Oracle APEX.
  • Database Integration: Work with Oracle databases, including PL/SQL development, to integrate backend data structures with APEX applications.
  • Performance Tuning: Optimize performance of Oracle APEX applications, including queries, processes, and page designs.
  • Testing & Troubleshooting: Perform unit testing, troubleshooting, and debugging of applications to ensure optimal performance and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed technical documentation for APEX applications, including design specifications, coding standards, and deployment instructions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies related to Oracle APEX and database management. Suggest improvements and innovations for better application performance and development efficiency.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Oracle APEX development, including at least 2+ years in a lead role.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Oracle APEX, PL/SQL, SQL, and Oracle Database development.
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for customizations within APEX applications.
  • Experience with Oracle APEX architecture and scalability best practices.
  • Familiarity with RESTful Web Services, JSON, and SOAP integrations in APEX.
  • Experience with version control tools such as Git.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Oracle APEX certifications or related Oracle certifications.
  • Experience in Agile software development methodologies.
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies like React, Angular, or similar frameworks is a plus.
  • Knowledge of other Oracle technologies like Oracle BI, Oracle E-Business Suite, or Oracle Cloud is an advantage.
