Job Description

The Production Manager will lead day-to-day manufacturing operations, ensuring efficient, high-quality, and safe production of automotive lead acid battery parts such as Magic Eye, IT500 handles, and other components.

This role involves managing teams, optimizing processes, ensuring compliance with quality & safety standards, and driving continuous improvements across all production lines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and manage daily production activities to meet output and quality targets.
  • Supervise and lead production staff across moulding, assembly, and finishing lines.
  • Ensure adherence to ISO/industry quality standards and company SOPs.
  • Monitor production schedules, inventory levels, and material usage to reduce wastage and downtime.
  • Implement lean manufacturing practices and process improvements.
  • Troubleshoot production issues related to moulds, machines, and manpower.
  • Coordinate with maintenance, design, and quality control teams for seamless operations.
  • Maintain strict safety protocols in all manufacturing areas.
  • Prepare periodic production reports and present to senior management.
  • Drive training and skill development for shop floor staff.

Requirements

  • B.Tech in Plastics Engineering (preferably from CIPET or equivalent).
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in plastic moulding/production management.
  • Strong technical knowledge of mould design, injection moulding machines, and battery component manufacturing.
  • Proven track record of managing teams and achieving production KPIs.
  • Knowledge of quality systems, safety regulations, and lean practices.
  • Proficiency in English and Hindi (both spoken & written).
  • Ability to handle pressure and deliver results within deadlines.
  • Immediate joiners preferred.
