At Nutanix, you would be joining the Next Gen- Data Engineering team comprised of more than 40 skilled professionals. You will report to the Senior Engineering Manager, who is dedicated to providing guidance and support for your career growth. The work setup at Nutanix is a hybrid model, with employees expected to be in the office 2 days a week. This structure allows for both in-person collaboration and flexibility for remote work when needed.

As for travel requirements, they depend on the project's needs. Nutanix values opportunities for networking, knowledge-sharing, and potential on-site collaborations, so occasional travel might be necessary to foster these connections.

• Participation in: Open-source LangChain or LlamaIndex contributions
• Kaggle/AI hackathons focused on GenAI
• Blogs or technical write-ups on LLM or Agentic patterns
• Translate business requirements into queries against a set of relational tables and produce reporting based on the needs.
• Work with data from on-premises and cloud-hosted DBs, including stored procedures, queries, performance tuning, etc., using Python, SQL
• Demonstrable ability to write automation script (using Python, Bash, etc.) to extract and curate data
• Prepare data and perform Data Modeling

• Experience level - Minimum 5 years
• GitHub projects demonstrating: RAG pipelines, AI Agents in FastAPI, Slackbot integrations, Agent collaboration via message protocols
• Hands-on proficiency with: Python, FastAPI, Redis, Kubernetes, Docker, Ray Serve, LangChain Agents, Autogen, OpenAI API, FAISS, Pinecone
• Be familiar with machine learning algorithms
• Has worked on a non-trivial business problem using machine learning
• Possess good analytical and problem-solving skills with strong communication and the ability
• Ensure quality control by performing both automated and manual testing on deliverables, including performance tuning & stress testing
• Be team-oriented and can work well within a global team.
• Be comfortable expressing your ideas in meetings, design sessions, etc. working in a global, agile, collaborative environment. The candidate should expect to work in a global virtual team environment along with the team in San Jose, CA
• Be self-sufficient and show the ability to lead given the opportunity.
• Has a strong sense of ownership and accountability for work
• Possess excellent oral and written communication skills

Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. For most roles, that will mean coming into an office a minimum of 3 days per week; however, certain roles and/or teams may require more frequent in-office presence. Additional team-specific guidance and norms will be provided by your manager.
