We're looking for a dedicated and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Coimbatore. The ideal candidate will be a meticulous professional with a strong understanding of accounting principles and a proven track record of managing all accounting functions.

Roles and Responsibilities

• The Senior Accountant will be responsible for a range of financial and accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and finalize accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements.
• Account Management: Oversee and manage the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. This includes posting journal entries, reconciling accounts, and resolving any discrepancies.
• Compliance & Taxation: Ensure timely and accurate filing of all statutory returns, including GST, TDS, and income tax. Handle all tax payments and maintain proper documentation.
• Budgeting & Analysis: Prepare and monitor annual budgets, conduct variance analysis, and provide management with financial reports and insights on spending and cost control.
• Audit Support: Assist internal and external auditors by providing necessary documentation, schedules, and explanations. Resolve audit queries and implement recommended corrections.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to accounting systems and procedures to enhance efficiency and strengthen internal controls.
• Staff Guidance: Mentor and guide junior accounting staff, sharing best practices and providing support in their daily tasks.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certifications like CMA or CPA are a plus.
• Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar accounting role, with a strong emphasis on financial reporting and compliance.
• Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of Indian accounting standards and tax regulations (GST, TDS, etc.). Proficiency in accounting software (Tally ERP 9/Prime, SAP, QuickBooks, or similar) and advanced MS Excel skills are essential.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and management.
• Personal Attributes: A high level of integrity, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Software & Technical Requirements

• Primary Systems: Tally ERP 9/Prime (mandatory)
• Secondary Systems: SAP FICO, QuickBooks, or similar ERP experience preferred
• Microsoft Office: Advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros), Word, PowerPoint
• GST Software: Experience with GST portals and compliance software
• Banking Software: Familiarity with online banking and payment systems
