Job Overview
:

We are hiring a Senior Geotechnical Engineer (Ground Improvement) to lead our new division. You need 5+ years of expertise in Dynamic Compaction and RIC to manage projects from design to client approval. Your skills will drive our new service line. Knowledge of PLAXIS or Settle3 is a plus.

Key Responsibilities
:

  • Designing and engineering Dynamic Compaction (DC) and Rapid Impact Compaction (RIC) programs for major projects.
  • On-site monitoring and supervision of ground improvement implementation.
  • Interpretation and analysis of soil investigation data, including SPT and DCP test results.
  • Technical liaison with client representatives and Quality Assurance (QA) teams.
  • Ensuring all ground improvement works meet project specifications and gain client approval.

·       This involves collecting soil and rock samples, performing geotechnical tests, and analysing the data to determine the site's properties and behaviour.

·       Evaluating soil properties, determining slope stability, assessing foundation requirements, and analysing the potential for settlement or soil liquefaction

·       Perform technical analysis of soil, rock, and other geologic materials data, including interpreting SPT, DCPT, and other geotechnical investigation reports.

·       Prepare detailed method statements, technical proposals, and design reports for client submission and approval.

·       Review and approve installation records, test results, and other quality assurance documentation.

Qualifications
:

·       Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or Civil Engineering, or a relevant field.

·       Minimum of 5 years of dedicated, hands-on experience in the design and field implementation of Ground Improvement techniques, specifically Dynamic Compaction (DC) and Rapid Impact Compaction (RIC).

·       Advantage will be given to candidates with proficiency in geotechnical software such as PLAXIS, Settle3, or similar.
