Overview
The Sr. Lead - Platform Developer / Automation plays a pivotal role in advancing the organization's technological initiatives by driving the architecture, development, and automation of platform solutions. This position is essential for ensuring that the organization's software platforms operate smoothly and efficiently, enabling seamless integration and deployment of applications. The Sr. Lead will leverage their extensive experience in platform development and automation to mentor team members, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and implement innovative solutions that meet business objectives. They will be responsible for defining best practices, enhancing the scalability and performance of platforms, and ensuring robust automation processes are in place. This role requires strong technical expertise, collaborative skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement, making it a cornerstone for the organization's success in a competitive landscape.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and implement scalable platform solutions.
  • Automate processes to enhance workflow efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
  • Lead a team of developers in best practices and innovative development techniques.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and define project scope.
  • Maintain and improve existing platforms to ensure optimal performance.
  • Integrate various software components into existing infrastructure.
  • Optimize CI/CD pipelines for faster deployment cycles.
  • Conduct rigorous testing and troubleshooting of platform solutions.
  • Evaluate new technologies for potential integration into systems.
  • Create technical documentation of development processes and platform architecture.
  • Implement security and compliance measures within platform applications.
  • Mentor junior developers and foster a culture of learning and development.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to resolve complex platform issues.
  • Monitor system performance and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Work with DevOps teams to streamline operations and enhance platform capabilities.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in platform development and automation.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go.
  • Extensive experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Strong knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
  • Demonstrated expertise in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI).
  • Solid understanding of system architecture and design principles.
  • Experience with database management systems (SQL, NoSQL).
  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of enterprise integration patterns and practices.
  • Prior experience in mentoring and leading teams is a plus.
