Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Graphic Designer (Shopify Web Design + AI) located in Chennai. The Graphic Designer will be responsible for creating visually appealing designs for web and print, including logo design, branding, graphics, and typography. Tasks include designing and maintaining Shopify store visuals, collaborating with the marketing team to create brand-consistent designs, and leveraging AI tools to enhance design efficiency and effectiveness.

  pages, premium print/OOH, packaging, and catalogues—fast—while safeguarding brand consistency, accessibility, and conversion.

Core Responsibilities

Commerce UX at Scale

• Design
  PDP/PLP systems
  , offer blocks, comparison tables, trust badges, bundles, and modular sections for Shopify (or equivalent CMS).
• Specify
  responsive behavior, states, and motion
  ; partner with engineers for clean handoff (specs, redlines, assets) and high-fidelity implementation.

Brand Campaigns & Social

• Create
  multi-format ad suites
  (static, carousels, short-form covers), concept routes, and
  rapid variants
  for experimentation—maintaining a single source of truth for brand.

Print, OOH & Events

• Ship
  newspaper ads, banners, standees, posters, event collateral
  with press-ready precision (bleed, CMYK/spot, DPI, file hygiene) and on-time vendor delivery.

Catalogue / Lookbooks

• Build premium
  product catalogues/line sheets
  (print & PDF): grid systems, typographic hierarchy, price lists, merchandising logic, export presets.

Packaging & POS:

• Design
  packaging, labels, inserts, retail POS
  ; handle
  barcodes, dielines, compliance
  and production constraints with vendors.

Design Systems:

• Evolve brand kits, tokenized palettes, typography scales, and
  reusable components (Figma libraries)
  ; document usage and guardrails for cross-team consistency.

AI-Accelerated Craft:

• Leverage
  Canva, Midjourney/Firefly/Runway, ChatGPT
  for exploration, mockups, background cleanup, upscaling, alt-text/copy drafts—
  respecting IP and ethics
  .

Quality, Accessibility, Localization

• Enforce
  WCAG 2.2 AA
  color contrast, tap targets, and keyboard focus states; design for
  i18n/L10n
  , RTL variants, and multi-density displays.

  (bleeds, spots, overprint, export presets) and coordinating vendor proofs.
• Creating
  packaging with dielines
  (labels/inserts/POS) and managing barcode/compliance details.
• Building and maintaining
  Figma component libraries
  used by multiple stakeholders.
• Producing
  paid-media creative suites
  (static/carousels/video covers) and iterating variants from test data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in
  Design / Visual Communication
  (or equivalent, portfolio-backed).
• 1 – 4 years
  in e-commerce/brand/agency settings;
  1+ year hands-on with Shopify
  (or equivalent CMS).
