As a member of FoundationX, you will be responsible for ensuring our Qlik applications are performant, operational, scalable and continue to drive business value. You will play a pivotal role in building maintaining and enhancing our data and analytics applications. Purpose and Scope:

As a Data and Analytics Tester, you will play a critical role in validating the accuracy, functionality, and performance of our BI, Data Warehousing and ETL systems. Leading a team of junior testers, you'll also work with data engineers, analysts, and developers to ensure that our QLIK, Power BI, and Tableau reports meet high standards. Additionally, your expertise in ETL tools (such as Talend, DataBricks) will be essential for testing data pipelines. Collaboration, leadership, and problem-solving skills are essential in this role.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Translate complex business requirements into executable architectural designs.

• Take ownership of testing key development projects related to our BI, Data Warehouse and other MI systems.

• Collaborate with FoundationX team members within a multi-skilled project team.

• Contribute to the efficient administration of multi-server environments.

• Collaborate with key Digital X stakeholders, data scientists, analysts, and developers to understand project requirements and data pipelines.

• Develop comprehensive end to end test strategies and plans for data validation, transformation, and analytics

• Execute manual and automated tests on data pipelines, ETL processes, and analytical models.

• Verify data accuracy, completeness, and consistency. Identify anomalies, discrepancies, and data quality issues.

• Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., GxP, HIPAA).

• Conduct regression testing to validate changes and enhancements to data pipelines and analytics tools.

• Validate data accuracy, consistency, and completeness in QLIK, Power BI, and Tableau reports.

• Verify calculations, filters, and visualizations.

• Conduct regression testing for new releases.

• Monitor performance metrics and identify deviations.

• Create detailed test cases based on business requirements and technical specifications.

• Execute test cases, record results, and report defects.

• Collaborate with development teams to resolve issues promptly.

• Participate in data validation and user acceptance testing (UAT).

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of test scenarios, test data, and test results.

• Document test procedures and best practices.

• Ensure data security and compliance with privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR).

• Validate access controls and encryption mechanisms.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders.

• Communicate test progress, results, and risks effectively.

• Participate in smaller focused mission teams to deliver value driven solutions aligned to our global and bold move priority initiatives and beyond.

• Design develop and implement robust and scalable applications to meet ever changing business needs.

• Collaborate with cross functional teams and practices across the organization including Commercial, Manufacturing, Medical, DataX, GrowthX and support other X (transformation) Hubs and Practices as appropriate, to understand user needs and translate them into technical solutions.

• Provide Level 3 and 4 Technical Support to internal users troubleshooting complex issues and ensuring system uptime as soon as possible.

• Champion continuous improvement initiatives identifying opportunities to optimize performance security and maintainability of existing data and platform architecture and other technology investments.

• Participate in the continuous delivery pipeline adhering to dev OPS best practices for version control automation and deployment. Ensuring effective management of the FoundationX backlog.

• Stay-up to date on the latest trends and technologies in full-stack-development, data engineering and cloud platforms.

Qualification:

Required:

• Business Intelligence Tools:
• QLIK/Tableau/PowerBI: Proficiency in designing, developing, and maintaining QLIK/Tableau applications. Experience with QLIK Sense and QLIKView is highly desirable. Experience working with N-Printing, Qlik Alerting
• Proficient at creating and consuming complex Qlik/PowerBI data models
• Power BI: Strong expertise in creating interactive reports, dashboards, and visualizations using Power BI. Knowledge of DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) is essential and Power Automate (MS Flow) or PowerBI alerts
• Data Modelling and Integration:
• Best practice knowledge of modelling data that is to be consumed by QlikSense or PowerBI
• Ability to design, develop and implement logical and physical data models.
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts, including star schema, snowflake schema, and data marts.
• Understanding of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and data integration techniques.
• SQL and Database Management:
• Proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating data.
• Knowledge of database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL).
• Data Governance and Quality:
• Understanding of data governance principles, data lineage, and metadata management
• Experience ensuring data quality, consistency, and accuracy
• Proven Testing expertise using BI and ETL technologies such as QLIK, Power BI, and Tableau and Talend (or equivalent applications.)
• Testing Techniques:
• Familiarity with SQL, Python, or R for data validation and testing.
• Manual testing (test case design, execution, defect reporting)
• Familiarity with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit)
• Test Management Tools:
• Experience with test management software (e.g., qTest, Zephyr, ALM)
• Programming Languages:
• Basic understanding of SQL, Python, or R for data validation
• Data Analysis:
• Knowledge of statistical analysis and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI Posit)
• Pharmaceutical Domain:
• Understanding of pharmaceutical data (clinical trials, drug development, patient records).
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous review of requirements and data quality.
• The ability to work with end users to uncover business requirements and turn these into powerful action orientated applications.
• Create and maintain technical documentation
• Ability to communicate and work effectively with other technical team members to agree best solution
• A self-starter able to work on own but know when to collaborate with wider team to ensure best overall solution.
• Experience working with data warehouse
• Understanding of BI, DWH systems and architecture
• Analytical Thinking: Demonstrated ability to lead ad hoc analyses, identify performance gaps, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  Agile Champion: Adherence to DevOps principles and a proven track record with CI/CD pipelines for continuous delivery.

Preferred:

• Experience working in the Pharma industry. Understanding of pharmaceutical data (clinical trials, drug development, patient records) is advantageous.
• Certifications in BI tools or testing methodologies.
• Knowledge of cloud-based BI solutions (e.g., Azure, AWS)
