Job Title: Assistant Manager HR Compliance

Location: Bangalore

Department: Human Resources / Payroll & Compliance

Reports To: HR Manager / Head – HR Operations

Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Assistant Manager – HR Compliance to ensure statutory compliance and accuracy in payroll-related processes across the organization. The role involves handling end-to-end statutory compliances such as PF, ESIC, Professional Tax, Gratuity, and Labour Welfare Fund, along with payroll coordination and audit support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and ensure timely compliance with statutory laws — PF, ESIC, Professional Tax, Labour Welfare Fund, and Gratuity.
  • Handle monthly payroll processing, including salary inputs, deductions, and statutory remittances.
  • Prepare and file challans, returns, and registers as per applicable laws.
  • Coordinate with finance and HR teams for payroll reconciliation and issue resolution.
  • Maintain employee compliance data and ensure accurate record-keeping.
  • Liaise with government authorities and auditors during inspections and audits.
  • Keep track of amendments in labour laws and ensure necessary policy updates.
  • Manage vendor coordination for outsourced payroll or compliance services (if applicable).
  • Support in compliance audits, internal reviews, and documentation.
  • Ensure all activities are carried out in line with company policies and statutory requirements.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of Statutory Compliance (PF, ESIC, PT, LWF, Gratuity, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience in Payroll Processing and statutory filings.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and HRMS / Payroll software.
  • Good understanding of labour laws and compliance timelines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to coordinate with multiple departments and external agencies.
  • Strong communication and follow-up skills.
