Role Overview

We are seeking experienced Subject Matter Experts in ICSE/ISC Biology to review, fact-check, and proofread academic content. The role involves ensuring syllabus alignment, scientific accuracy, age-appropriate explanations, and adherence to board-specific assessment expectations.

This is a flexible, remote freelance role with clear deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and proofread ICSE Biology content for accuracy, clarity, and curriculum alignment
  • Verify scientific explanations, definitions, diagrams (labels), activities/experiments, and answers as per the latest syllabus and exam pattern
  • Ensure correctness of terminology, processes, biological diagrams, and data representations (tables/flowcharts)
  • Identify and correct conceptual, factual, and language errors
  • Ensure consistency in tone, formatting, and academic style across chapters
  • Work closely with the editorial team to maintain quality standards
  • Complete assigned reviews within agreed timelines
  • Maintain confidentiality and sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biology/Life Sciences or a related field
  • Strong understanding of ICSE Biology syllabi and exam patterns
  • Prior experience in teaching, proofreading, textbook development, content creation, or academic review preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to spot scientific inaccuracies and misconceptions
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Reliable internet connection and computer access

Work Process

Shortlisted reviewers will be required to join our Editorial Platform, where they can:

  • View open review assignments
  • Apply for them
  • Track work progress
  • Manage submissions and payments

Compensation

  • Pay ranging from ₹500 to ₹1,500 per chapter (as applicable, based on chapter length/complexity)
