ESG Leader

Mariterro is seeking a Head of ESG to join our team in Kochi.

This is a full-time, on-site role that requires a unique blend of strategic thinking, deep ESG expertise, and strong communication skills. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with more than 10 years of total experience, including a minimum of 5 years in the ESG/Sustainability domain.

Role and Responsibilities:

As our ESG Leader, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sustainability and environmental strategies for Mariterro's clients. You will work closely with the founding team to build and strategize our Sustainability-ESG business stream.

Key deliverables include:

Strategy Development: You will develop and embed ESG principles into clients core operations, conduct risk assessments, and create mitigation strategies while anticipating future regulatory changes.

Reporting and Compliance: You will ensure regulatory compliance, develop reporting frameworks, and analyze ESG data to drive informed decisions.

Stakeholder Engagement: You will engage with both internal and external stakeholders, and conduct training and awareness programs to promote sustainable practices and enhance our brand reputation.

Qualifications:

Experience in sustainability, environmental management, and ESG strategy development.

Exposure to or expertise in Life Cycle Assessment.

Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements.

Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive initiatives.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

A proactive mindset and the ability to work independently.

A Post Graduate degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field.
