Billing Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and submit client bills/invoices based on project progress, BOQ (Bill of Quantities), and contract terms.
• Reconcile quantities and verify work executed on-site with contractors and subcontractors.
• Coordinate with site engineers and project managers to collect and validate work progress data.
• Ensure billing is aligned with contract agreements and project timelines.
• Track and manage variations and change orders, and incorporate them into billing documents.
• Liaise with the accounts and finance departments for timely submission and clearance of invoices.
• Maintain documentation of all billing-related records for audit and internal reference.
• Assist in preparing cost estimates and budget tracking.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and client specifications.
• Review and verify subcontractor bills and certification of payments.
• Prepare MIS reports related to billing and cost tracking.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• B.Tech in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in billing and quantity surveying in the construction industry.
• Strong understanding of civil engineering concepts, BOQ preparation, and contract billing procedures.
• Proficient in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and billing software such as ERP.
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹40, ₹45,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Shillong, Meghalaya: Reliably commute or willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (Required)
