Roles & Responsibilities

  • Analyze requirements, design test strategies, and create detailed test plans and test cases.
  • Execute manual and automated test cases to identify bugs, performance issues, and usability concerns.
  • Work closely with developers, business analysts, and project managers to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Lead defect triage meetings and ensure issues are correctly reported, tracked, and resolved.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance automation scripts using tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Mentor junior testers and provide technical guidance to the QA team.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, methodologies, and tools.
  • Provide accurate test metrics and status reports to stakeholders.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience in software testing.
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Experience in both manual and automation testing.
  • Proficient in test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr).
  • Strong experience with test automation frameworks and tools like Selenium, Postman, REST Assured, JMeter, etc.
  • Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile, and DevOps environments.
  • Solid understanding of databases and ability to write SQL queries.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in API testing and performance testing is a plus.
  • ISTQB or equivalent certification is an advantage.
