Position SummaryThe Deans will serve as the academic and administrative leaders of the Faculty of Management, Faculty of Humanities and Social Science, Faculty of Hospitality, Faculty of Paramedical Science, Faculty of Journalism, Mass Communication and Media, and Faculty of Design respectively. They will be responsible for advancing the department's strategic vision in teaching, research, industry collaboration, and community engagement, while upholding the University's standards of excellence. The role requires dynamic leadership, commitment to innovation, and a collaborative approach to drive the department's growth and reputation.

Qualifications & RequirementsEducational Qualifications:Ph. D. in the relevant discipline (e.g. Management, Design, Hospitality, etc.). Experience:A distinguished academic career with significant experience in teaching, research, and/or industry engagement.

Proven track record of curriculum development, academic leadership, and innovation in pedagogy. Prior administrative experience in an academic leadership role (such as Head of Department, Associate Dean, or equivalent) is preferred. Research & Consulting Contributions:Strong record of publications in reputed national and international journals.

Active involvement in funded research projects, consulting assignments, or academic collaborations. Skills & Competencies:Outstanding leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strategic thinking with the ability to foster interdisciplinary initiatives.

Key ResponsibilitiesThe Dean shall perform the following functions and duties, namely:Academic Leadership:To provide strategic direction and leadership to the faculty, staff, and students of the faculty/school.

To preside at the meetings of the faculty and to record its proceedings. To develop and oversee curriculum improvements to align with global standards and industry needs. Compliance and Governance:To be responsible for the due observance of the Statutes, Ordinances, Rules and Regulations relating to the Faculty concerned.

To uphold academic integrity and quality assurance across all departmental activities. Research and Innovation:To promote a strong culture of research, innovation, and knowledge dissemination. To encourage collaborations with industries, research organizations, and government bodies.

Board of Studies Participation:To be present and speak at the meetings of the Board of Studies relating to the Faculty concerned but not to vote thereat unless he is a member thereof. Operational Management:To manage departmental budgets, resources, and administrative functions effectively. To mentor faculty and facilitate professional development programs.
