Job Description

We are looking for an experienced QA Lead Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Java, Selenium, and healthcare domain testing, particularly with EDI 834 transactions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving test automation strategies, leading QA efforts, and ensuring product quality across healthcare applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium and Java.
  • Perform functional, regression, and integration testing across healthcare systems.
  • Validate and process EDI 834 files and ensure compliance with HIPAA and ANSI X12 standards.
  • Implement robust test automation frameworks and reusable components.
  • Work with file formats such as XML, JSON, and flat files (.txt) for data validation and processing.
  • Execute and validate SQL queries for backend database testing.
  • Collaborate closely with development, business, and DevOps teams to ensure smooth QA integration in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Participate in all Scrum ceremonies and ensure test coverage for user stories and sprints.
  • Provide QA leadership, mentor team members, and drive automation best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in QA and Test Automation.
  • Strong proficiency in Java and object-oriented programming concepts.
  • Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver and test automation frameworks (TestNG, JUnit, or similar).
  • Mandatory: In-depth experience with EDI 834 healthcare enrollment transactions.
  • Good understanding of healthcare domain concepts – Provider, Payer, Health Plans (HMO, PPO, Medicare, Medicaid).
  • Strong skills in SQL for data validation and backend testing.
  • Experience in file handling and validation (XML, JSON, TXT).
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and participation in Scrum processes.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
