A pizza maker is responsible for preparing and baking pizzas, which includes making dough, saucing, and adding toppings according to recipes and customer requests. Key duties involve operating ovens, maintaining a clean and sanitary work area, managing inventory, and sometimes taking customer orders and providing service. They must work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while ensuring food quality and safety standards.

Core Responsibilities

• Pizza preparation: Prepare and hand-stretch pizza dough, and apply sauces, cheeses, and a wide variety of toppings.
• Baking: Cook pizzas to perfection by operating and monitoring pizza ovens, ensuring correct temperatures and cooking times.
• Customer orders: Take food and drink orders, process payments, and handle special requests from customers.
• Food quality: Ensure all ingredients are fresh and of high quality, and maintain consistent measurements and portion control.
• Hygiene and sanitation: Keep the kitchen, cooking surfaces, and equipment clean and sanitized at all times to meet health and safety standards.
