Lead Software Engineer

We're looking for passionate and talented Software Engineers to build out the machine learning platform and infrastructure that will power Docusign's IAM. You will help support all aspects of the machine learning lifecycle, specifically areas like data storage, annotation, training systems, and telemetry infrastructure. Our team is responsible for building a platform that supports a team of machine learning engineers and data scientists and can serve AI solutions to Docusign at scale.

This role will be a part of the AI platform team at Docusign, which builds analytics products that utilize AI, machine learning, and cutting-edge deep learning based models to provide insights for the Docusign IAM. Our team is distributed across the San Francisco/Bay Area, Seattle, Ireland and India and you will be working collaboratively across these teams.

This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Senior Manager, Software Engineering - AI Platform.

Responsibility

• Drive testing, releases, and monitoring of event-driven, distributed systems supporting workflows for data procurement, annotation, and storage

• Write high quality, shippable code across the stack that is easy to maintain and test

• Collaborate with Applied Science and Product teams to ensure successful and timely delivery of new machine learning products and features

• Design and build data pipelines for production supporting analytics, model development, and data annotation

• Build vital tools and infrastructure to monitor and understand the performance of complex systems

Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)

Basic

• 12+ years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 8 years related experience with a Master's degree; or equivalent experience
• Experience building/consuming RESTful and gRPC based web-services
• Experience with CI/CD build pipelines, integration tests, and test-driven development
• Experience with cloud deployment technologies, such as Kubernetes or Docker containers
• Experience with batch processing and workflow management tools: Azkaban, Luigi, Airflow
• Experience writing applications primarily in Java and Python

Preferred

• Experience building scalable and reliable software architecture
• Experience building machine learning related features, data pipelines, and storage systems
• Ability and desire to move across technology stacks fluently and easily
• Experience querying both relational and NoSQL databases
