The Clinical Scholar Track is for full-time faculty members who are heavily involved in clinical service, education, and related scholarship. This track has two career paths: Clinician-Educator concentrating on teaching and Clinician-Investigator for concentrating on research/scholarship. Significant contributions in professional and academic service are required for both paths.Job Description:

Job Duties

  • One clinic day per week where new and post op patients are seen. Operating 4 days per week based on volume.

  • Rounding on all patients.

  • Covering call.

  • Participating as appropriate in research and Department educational efforts.

Required Qualifications

Certifications/Licensures:

  • Board Eligible/Board Certified by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery

  • Must be able to obtain or maintain Kansas and Missouri medical licenses

Work Experience: Completion of Cardiothoracic Surgery Fellowship

Preferred Qualifications

Work Experience: 3 years of experience.
