Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Store keeper with at least 3 years of experience in handling stores and inventory for a manufacturing setup. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the storage of raw materials, fabricated components, consumables, welding items, and finished goods, ensuring proper documentation, inventory control, and smooth material flow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, inspect, and record all incoming materials, consumables, and components.
  • Issue materials as per production requirements with proper documentation (MRN, DC, GRN, etc.).
  • Maintain proper stock levels of raw materials, welding consumables, fasteners, tools, and safety items.
  • Ensure proper storage of heavy fabrication materials like plates, channels, pipes, beams, etc., and fabricated silo parts.
  • Update and maintain inventory records in ERP or manual registers accurately.
  • Monitor stock movement and carry out periodic stock audits and reconciliations.
  • Coordinate with procurement, production, and accounts teams for inventory planning and billing purposes.
  • Ensure proper labeling, tagging, and physical segregation of material by type, size, and usage.
  • Handle and oversee unloading and stacking of heavy materials using cranes or forklifts.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards in material handling and storage areas.
  • Maintain housekeeping and organize stores layout for easy traceability of materials.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in storekeeping, preferably in a fabrication/manufacturing industry.
  • Familiarity with materials used in heavy fabrication, welding, and silo construction.
  • Working knowledge of inventory software or ERP (Tally, SAP, or any in-house systems).
  • Basic understanding of welding consumables, fasteners, and fabrication parts.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Ability to operate forklifts/cranes or supervise such operations.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, inventory tracking, and report generation.

Educational Qualification:

  • Graduate or Diploma in Mechanical/Production/Any discipline.
  • Certification in Store Management or Inventory Control is a plus.
