Job Description: Server Administrator

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Server Administrator to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our company's server infrastructure, ensuring its efficiency, security, and reliability. The Server Administrator will play a key role in supporting the organization's operations by overseeing the installation, configuration, and optimization of server hardware, software, and related components. This position requires a strong understanding of server technologies, system administration, and network protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the installation, configuration, and maintenance of server systems, including hardware, software, and applications.

Monitor server performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.

Conduct regular system backups and implement disaster recovery plans to safeguard data and ensure business continuity.

Collaborate with the IT team to develop and implement server-related policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Identify and implement security measures to protect the server infrastructure from potential threats and vulnerabilities.

Perform routine security audits and updates to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.

Provide technical support and guidance to end-users, addressing server-related inquiries and issues in a timely and efficient manner.

Stay informed about the latest advancements in server technology and make recommendations for hardware and software upgrades as needed.

Create and maintain comprehensive documentation related to server configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures.

Coordinate with third-party vendors and service providers to resolve complex technical issues and ensure the smooth operation of server systems.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; relevant certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, or Linux+ are preferred.

Proven experience working as a Server Administrator or in a similar role, demonstrating strong knowledge of server systems and network infrastructure.

Proficiency in configuring and managing Windows and Linux server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and other related services.

Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V and experience in managing virtualized environments.

Solid understanding of network protocols, firewalls, and security protocols.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex server-related issues effectively.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

A proactive approach to staying updated with industry trends and advancements in server technologies.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to ₹1,000,000.00 per year
