About the Role

StepToStem is hiring an experienced educator to lead coding, practical AI, and robotics for students in Grades 6–12 at a partner school in Chandigarh.

This is a one-month paid trial role, which may convert into a full-time contract based on performance.

Responsibilities

  • Teach coding (Scratch/Blockly, Python, C/C++) across Grades 6–12
  • Deliver hands-on, project-based practical AI sessions for Grades 9–12
  • Conduct engaging robotics sessions using Arduino, PCB circuits, sensors, microcontrollers, and electronics
  • Introduce new robotics concepts and advanced builds using existing equipment
  • Build and guide students through IoT, automation, and hardware-based projects
  • Troubleshoot classroom hardware/software issues quickly
  • Prepare project modules, lesson plans, and progress reports
  • Support school exhibitions, competitions, and innovation events
  • Coordinate with existing AI and robotics faculty for seamless integration

Required Skills

  • Minimum 3 years of teaching or lab experience in schools/EdTech
  • Strong knowledge of robotics, electronics, sensors, and microcontrollers (Arduino/ESP32 preferred)
  • Hands-on experience in drone building, flight controllers, and calibration
  • Proficiency in AI fundamentals, prompt engineering, and AI tools
  • Coding skills: Python, C/C++, and block-based coding (Scratch/Blockly)
  • Understanding of IoT architectures, cloud platforms, and basic API usage
  • Experience with AR tech (Unity, WebAR, or similar) is a plus
  • Ability to diagnose and solve hardware and software issues rapidly
  • Strong communication and classroom management abilities

Compensation

  • One-month trial: Rs 20,000
  • Upon confirmation: Rs 27,000 per month (full-time)
