Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant / Receptionist to join our team at Yash Dental Clinic in Adyar. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dental care assistance, possess excellent interpersonal skills, and be committed to providing outstanding patient care. This role requires a mix of clinical and administrative skills to ensure smooth operations within the clinic.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Previous experience as a Dental Nurse is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective patient interaction.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the dental team to ensure smooth clinic operations.
  • Keen attention to detail in patient care, record-keeping, and infection control procedures.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Patient Assistance: Assist the dentist during dental procedures, ensuring the comfort and well-being of patients. Prepare and maintain the dental surgery for each patient, including sterilization of instruments and equipment.
  • Chairside Support: Hand necessary instruments and materials to the dentist during procedures. Maintain clear communication with the dental team to anticipate their needs during treatments. Educate patients on post-treatment care and oral hygiene practices.
  • Record Keeping: Accurately record patient information and treatment plans in the clinic's management system. Update and maintain patient records, including medical histories and treatment progress.
  • Infection Control: Adhere to strict infection control protocols, ensuring a safe and clean environment for patients and staff. Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment following established guidelines.
  • Front Desk Duties: Greet and welcome patients to the clinic. Schedule appointments, manage patient records, and handle administrative tasks as needed.
