We are looking for a passionate and driven Bio Medical Engineer to join our dynamic team at Rungta Hospitals

Role & responsibilities

  • Install, test, calibrate, and maintain biomedical equipment such as ventilators, monitors, defibrillators, infusion pumps, and other diagnostic or therapeutic devices.
  • Conduct routine preventive maintenance and performance checks as per schedule.
  • Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers for equipment servicing, warranty claims, and repairs.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment inventory, service history, and maintenance schedules.
  • Ensure all biomedical devices meet hospital safety and quality standards.
  • Assist in technical evaluation of new equipment and participate in procurement discussions.
  • Train hospital staff on the proper use and care of medical devices.
  • Ensure compliance with biomedical waste, safety norms, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide technical support during installation of new medical facilities or expansion projects.

Preferred Candidate Profile

  • Bachelors Degree in Biomedical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience in hospital equipment maintenance.
  • Sound knowledge of hospital biomedical devices and electrical safety standards.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Good coordination and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain documentation and generate technical reports.
