Role descriptionJob Title: Senior Salesforce Commerce Cloud B2B Developer
Location: Pune, Noida, Kochi, Trivamdrum, Bangalore, Chennai
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Salesforce Commerce Cloud B2B Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in delivering cutting-edge B2B e-commerce solutions, leveraging the full power of the Salesforce Platform (Lightning Experience, LWC, Apex). You will work closely with clients and cross-functional teams to translate complex business requirements into scalable, secure, and high-performing commerce experiences. This position requires deep technical expertise, a strong understanding of B2B commerce intricacies, and the ability to lead and mentor other developers.
Key Responsibilities:
Solution Design & Architecture:
Collaborate with solution architects, business analysts, and clients to understand complex B2B commerce requirements and translate them into technical specifications and solution designs.
- Design and develop scalable, secure, and high-performance Salesforce B2B Commerce solutions, adhering to Salesforce best practices and architectural guidelines.
Contribute to the overall technical architecture of B2B commerce implementations, ensuring seamless integration with other enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, PIM, OMS, Payment Gateways, etc.).
Development & Implementation:
Develop custom functionalities and integrations using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, and Flow.
- Implement and customize out-of-the-box Salesforce B2B Commerce features, including account management, pricing, entitlements, quick order, reorder, and self-service portals.
- Build responsive and intuitive buyer experiences on Salesforce Communities or other relevant storefront platforms.
- Manage and configure product catalogs, price books, promotions, and other merchandising aspects within B2B Commerce.
Lead or participate in data migration activities using Salesforce Data Loader, Apex Data Loader, or other relevant tools.
Integration:
Design and implement robust integrations between Salesforce B2B Commerce Cloud and various third-party systems using REST/SOAP APIs, Platform Events, Change Data Capture, and middleware solutions (e.g., MuleSoft).
Ensure data integrity and seamless flow across connected systems.
Quality & Performance:
Perform comprehensive unit testing, integration testing, and support user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and ensure adherence to best practices for security, performance, and scalability.
- Identify and resolve technical issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks, providing expert-level troubleshooting and debugging.
Optimize application performance, site speed, and user experience.
Leadership & Mentorship:
Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior developers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment.
- Participate in the hiring and onboarding process for new team members.
- Lead sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and other Agile ceremonies.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes, tools, and methodologies.
Documentation & Communication:
Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, API documentation, and deployment guides.
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Stay up to date with the latest Salesforce releases, features, and industry trends in B2B e-commerce.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience as a Salesforce Developer, with at least 3-4 years specifically focused on Salesforce B2B Commerce Cloud (Lightning Experience).
- Expert-level proficiency in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Visualforce.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce platform architecture, data model, and security model.
- In-depth knowledge of Salesforce B2B Commerce functionalities, including accounts, contacts, price books, product catalogs, entitlements, orders, and quotes.
- Proven experience with Salesforce integration patterns and technologies (REST/SOAP APIs, Platform Events, MuleSoft highly desirable).
- Solid understanding of web technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript (ES6+), and modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Experience with Salesforce DX, Git (version control), and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an Agile development environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Salesforce Certified B2B Commerce Developer (or equivalent accreditation).
- Salesforce Platform Developer II certification.
- Salesforce Application Architect or System Architect certification.
- Experience with Salesforce Experience Cloud (Communities).
- Knowledge of Salesforce CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) integration.
- Experience with other Salesforce Clouds (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud).
