Role
Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret engineering drawings with GD&T to develop inspection plans for machined components.
  • Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring instruments (CMM, height gauges, micrometers, etc.).
  • Prepare and maintain quality documentation such as Process Inspection Reports, First Article Inspection (FAI), and Certificates of Conformance (COC).
  • Ensure adherence to customer specifications, internal quality standards, and applicable defence/aerospace regulations.
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) for non-conformities.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and improve process capability (Cp, Cpk, GR&R studies).
  • Support and participate in internal and external audits, including those by defence QA representatives or certifying bodies.
  • Drive continual improvement initiatives through the application of tools like 5 Whys, Fishbone analysis, and control plans.
  • Review supplier quality and support incoming material inspection for critical components.
  • Maintain calibration records and ensure measurement systems are in control.
  • Strong understanding of GD&T, ISO 9001, AS9100 quality systems.
  • Experience with quality tools such as PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, and control plans are an advantage.
  • Familiarity with CMM operations is a plus
