Research Analyst

Job description

About the role:
Research Analyst works closely with the CEO's and MD's in an analytical capacity, researching market information and technical data to support the decision-making process by providing in-depth insights into the market.

As a Research Analyst a typical day will include:

• Evaluate, analyse, and structure the information for use in various research.
• Demonstrated ability to produce clear, concise, and well-structured technical reports, documentation, and presentations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Collect consumer, competitor and marketplace data and consolidate information into actionable items, reports, and presentations.
• Compile and analyse statistical data using modern and traditional methods to collect it.
• Perform accurate and reliable market research SWOT analysis.
• Interpret data, formulate reports, and make recommendations.
• Use online market research and catalogue findings in databases.
• Provide competitive analysis on various companies market offerings, and identify market trends, pricing/business models, sales, and methods of operation.
• Evaluate program methodology and critical data to ensure that data on the releases are accurate and the release angle is correct.
• Remain fully informed on market trends; other parties research and implement best practices.

Required skills, experience and qualification

• Ability to analyse quantitative and qualitative data to identify relevant findings.
• Outstanding English communications skills to communicate with the international clients
• Excellent project and time management skills.
• Ability to locate and procure information from original sources.
• Ability to analyse lots of information and then be able to restructure it and create original insights.
• PowerPoint and Excel
• Graduate/ Postgraduate in Science or MBA
