Key Responsibilities

1. Implementation & Delivery

  • Lead and execute full-cycle Oracle Cloud Financials implementation projects, from requirement gathering to go-live and post-production support.

  • Manage and configure Oracle Cloud modules, including:

  • General Ledger (GL)

  • Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Cash Management (CM)
  • Fixed Assets (FA)
  • Lease Accounting

  • Tax (GST/VAT knowledge preferred)

  • Perform detailed fit-gap analysis and create comprehensive functional design documentation.

  • Deliver hands-on configuration, testing, and validation activities across project phases.
  • Support data migration, integrations, and reporting requirements from a functional standpoint.
  • Assist with UAT (User Acceptance Testing), cutover planning, and go-live support.

2. Functional Design & Documentation

  • Prepare and review functional artifacts including BRDs, MD50s, BP80s, and configuration workbooks.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure proper alignment on integrations, extensions, and custom reports.
  • Provide expert input on business process optimization and best practices within Oracle Cloud Financials.

3. Release & Upgrade Management

  • Conduct release impact assessments for Oracle Cloud quarterly updates.
  • Support configuration changes, feature adoption, and regression testing as part of upgrade cycles.
  • Provide ongoing functional support and system enhancements post-implementation.

4. Stakeholder & Team Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact for functional queries within assigned modules.
  • Build strong relationships with client stakeholders and ensure clear communication on project status and deliverables.
  • Work collaboratively with onshore and offshore teams, providing mentorship and guidance to junior consultants.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 810 years of relevant experience as an Oracle Cloud Financials Functional Consultant.
  • Minimum of 2 full-cycle Oracle Cloud implementation projects as a core functional lead.
  • Strong knowledge and configuration experience in Oracle Financials modules (GL, AP, AR, CM, FA, Lease Accounting, Tax).
  • Proven experience in functional design for conversions, integrations, and reports.
  • Ability to independently manage modules and deliver outcomes from offshore or onshore locations.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working on Indian Oracle Fusion projects or clients.
  • Understanding of India GST and VAT configurations within Oracle Cloud.
  • Exposure to Oracle Cloud quarterly release management, configuration updates, and regression testing.
  • Oracle Cloud Financials certification preferred.
  • Prior consulting experience in a Big 4 or professional services environment will be an advantage.

Education & Certification

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or Information Technology.
  • Oracle Cloud Financials Certification highly desirable.
