Job Description

Vernure is hiring an SEO Specialist who understands modern SEO strategies, not outdated keyword stuffing or plugin-based shortcuts. We're looking for someone who knows how to rank pages faster, track search behaviour, and execute strategies aligned with current Google updates.

The ideal candidate knows how to work with data, analyse competitors, structure content the right way, and optimise pages so they actually move up in SERP - not just look "SEO friendly."

Knowledge of GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) or AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) is a major advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute SEO strategies to improve rankings, traffic, and visibility
  • Stay updated with latest Google algorithm updates, SERP changes, and search intent patterns
  • Optimise websites using on-page, off-page, and technical SEO best practices
  • Implement GEO/AEO-friendly content structures where required
  • Conduct keyword research, competitor analysis, and content audits
  • Track performance using tools like Google Search Console, GA4, SEMrush, Ahrefs, etc.
  • Improve site structure, internal linking, metadata, schema, and indexability
  • Collaborate with content writers and developers to ensure SEO-aligned execution
  • Prepare regular SEO reports with insights and actions
  • Troubleshoot ranking drops, indexing issues, and technical blockers

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of modern SEO, search behaviour, and ranking factors
  • Hands-on experience with keyword research and SERP analysis
  • Ability to optimise content for faster ranking (intent mapping, topical authority)
  • Knowledge of schema, technical SEO fundamentals, and crawl behaviour
  • Understanding of GEO/AEO or willingness to learn quickly
  • Familiarity with tools like Search Console, GA4, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Clear communication and ability to work with cross-functional teams
  • Degree in any discipline is acceptable -
    skills matter more

  • Experience working directly with content writers

  • Understanding of landing page optimisation and CRO
  • Ability to draft SEO briefs or content outlines
