Job Title: Senior Front End Engineer

Experience Required: 3-7 Years

Location: Work From Home (Remote)

Employment Type: Contract

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, architect, and develop complex single-page applications (SPA) using React and TypeScript.
  • Own and implement front-end architecture decisions, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and performance.
  • Refactor and optimize existing large React codebases, adhering to modern coding standards and best practices.
  • Implement robust testing strategies, including unit and integration testing, to ensure application quality and reliability.
  • Develop advanced data visualizations (graphs, tables, maps) using tools such as Plotly and Mapbox GL.
  • Manage and render large-scale geospatial data using Mapbox GL with vector tiles for performance optimization.
  • Collaborate closely with product, design, and backend teams to translate requirements into functional and elegant UI solutions.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve front-end tooling, build pipelines, and developer experience (e.g., with Vite, Yarn, and OpenAPI client libraries).

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3-7 years of professional experience in front-end development using React and TypeScript.
  • Strong understanding of modern front-end architecture, component design patterns, and state management.
  • Experience with data visualization libraries such as Plotly, , or Mapbox GL.
  • Solid knowledge of front-end testing frameworks and tools (e.g., Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress).
  • Familiarity with API integrations using OpenAPI client libraries.
  • Proficiency in front-end build tools and bundlers (Vite, Webpack, etc.).
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a remote setup.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a distributed team environment.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have):

  • Experience working with Python-based API back ends.
  • Exposure to Material UI or similar component libraries.
  • Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and deployment workflows.
  • Understanding of performance optimization techniques for large-scale web applications.
  • Contribution to open-source projects or prior experience in SaaS product development.
