About Proxi Farma

Proxi Farma develops high fiber nutritional products that support gut health and help manage metabolic syndrome. Our work spans clinical, ex vivo, and in vivo studies focused on plant based fibers and the gut microbiome.

Role Overview

You will lead and execute ex vivo experiments, support clinical study operations, analyze multi modal microbiome data, and report findings to internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Ex vivo experiments


• Design and run ex vivo studies on stool and gut microbiome samples using fiber rich formulations


• Quantify microbial metabolites using GC or MS and related platforms


• Develop, validate, and document SOPs that meet GLP requirements


• Maintain accurate lab records, inventories, and QA logs

Clinical trial support


• Coordinate with the clinical team on screening, enrollment, and scheduling


• Oversee specimen handling, processing, storage, and transport with full chain of custody


• Monitor participant safety and document adverse events per protocol and regulation

Data analysis and reporting


• Analyze microbiome composition and function using bioinformatics workflows


• Perform statistical analysis in R or equivalent and prepare clear summaries and figures


• Present results to leadership, collaborators, and partners and contribute to publications

Collaboration and communication


• Work cross functionally with nutrition scientists, clinicians, statisticians, and operations


• Contribute to study design, protocol development, and troubleshooting


• Prepare technical reports, slide decks, and documentation for audits and reviews

Qualifications


• PhD in Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or related field


• Three to five years of relevant research experience in clinical or ex vivo settings


• Hands on experience with microbiome methods, microbial culture, and metabolomics


• Proficiency in R or similar statistical software and standard bioinformatics tools


• Working knowledge of clinical research conduct, GCP and ICH guidelines, and ethics


• Strong organization, documentation, and problem solving skills


• Effective written and verbal communication and teamwork

Preferred Skills


• Experience in human nutrition or microbiome clinical studies


• Familiarity with next generation sequencing and end to end bioinformatics pipelines


• Understanding of FSSAI requirements and Indian regulatory processes for studies


• Record of scientific writing or publications
