Company Description

Shri Niketan Bangalore, Wholesale and manufacturing of Silk Brocade Sarees & Textiles, located in Cubbonpet, Bangalore, is looking for a Textile Merchandiser.

A Merchandiser is responsible for the Order Management and Stock management. The role involves working closely with the Sales team and Production team to ensure that the orders are completed and optimizing inventory turnover.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Product Planning and Stock Management:

  2. Analyze sales trends to determine product needs and stock levels.

  3. Coordinate the delivery of products from suppliers to retail locations.
  4. Ensure optimal stock levels and avoid overstocking or stockouts.

  5. Monitor and update product inventories and maintain inventory records.

  6. Sales and Profitability Optimization:

  7. Monitor the performance of products and adjust placement as necessary.

  8. Supplier and Vendor Relationships:

  9. Work closely with suppliers to ensure product deliveries, and manage lead times.

  10. Reporting and Documentation:

  11. Track and report on sales performance, product inventory levels, and product turnover rates.

  12. Prepare detailed reports on merchandising activities for upper management and buyers.

  13. Collaboration and Teamwork:

  14. Work with sales staff, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.

  15. Customer Experience Focus:

  16. Ensure that the customer shopping experience is enhanced through well-organized,order management.

  17. Gather customer feedback on product preferences and shopping experience to help refine future merchandising strategies.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education:

Typically a degree or diploma in business, marketing, retail management, or a related field.
- Experience:

Prior experience in retail, merchandising, or sales is preferred, especially in a similar industry (fashion, electronics, etc.).
- Skills:
- Analytical mindset with the ability to assess sales data.
- Basic knowledge of inventory management software and tools.
- Excellent knowledge on Microsoft Excel & Google sheets
