We are seeking adaptable and motivated Software Engineers with 4–8 years of experience in application development and data engineering. This role spans both legacy systems
(Autosys, Perl, Shell
) and modern cloud platforms (
Python, AWS, Terraform, Datadog
). The ideal candidate brings a strong software engineering mindset — capable of designing scalable, maintainable, and production-grade solutions — and is comfortable supporting existing workflows while driving modernization efforts. Candidates with prior experience in Perl/Shell development, legacy-to-cloud migrations, and Informatica will have a strong advantage.

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILL SETS

  • 3–7 years of experience in backend development, data engineering, or application development.
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals – code structure, testing, design principles, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Proficiency in Perl and Python for application and workflow development.
  • Hands-on experience with Shell scripting and Linux environments.
  • Experience with PL/SQL and relational databases preferably Oracle.
  • Workflow/orchestration experience (Autosys and/or Airflow).
  • Hands-on experience with AWS (S3, Lambda, Glue, EC2, RDS, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of Terraform (IaC) and Datadog (monitoring and observability).
  • Familiarity with version control and CI/CD tools such as GitLab.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and a learning-oriented, collaborative mindset.

RESPONSIBILITES

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and maintainable ETL/ELT frameworks, backend services, and automation solutions using Python, AWS, and related technologies.
  • Work on legacy platforms (Autosys, Perl, Shell) to support and modernize existing workflows and applications.
  • Write well-structured, testable, and maintainable code following industry best practices.
  • Develop and optimize PL/SQL queries, stored procedures, and database components.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform and implement observability solutions with Datadog.
  • Work in Linux environments for development, scripting, deployment, and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, reliable, and efficient solutions in an Agile environment.
  • Contribute to code reviews, testing strategies, CI/CD pipelines, and continuous performance optimization.
  • Participate in modernization initiatives including migration of on-premises workflows and applications to cloud-native solutions.

EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, Software Engineering or a Relevant Field
