Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Cloud Solutions SME with strong hands-on expertise in designing, implementing, and optimizing enterprise-scale cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have deep experience across one or more major cloud platformsAWS, Azure, or GCPand a solid understanding of how cloud solutions integrate with data and AI workloads.

This is a customer-facing technical role that combines architecture design, delivery oversight, and pre-sales contribution. The SME will collaborate closely with Data & AI specialists and pre-sales consultants to deliver secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Design & Architecture

• Design cloud architectures supporting data platforms, analytics, and AI workloads.
• Define scalable infrastructure blueprints including networking, security, compute, and storage design.
• Develop migration strategies for on-premise to cloud or cross-cloud transitions.
• Implement cloud-native services for automation, monitoring, and optimization.
• Drive cloud cost management and governance best practices.

Customer Engagement

• Lead technical discussions with customers to assess requirements, challenges, and constraints.
• Present cloud solution architectures and recommendations that align with customer business goals.
• Conduct architecture workshops and proof-of-concept implementations.
• Provide technical assurance during customer evaluations and pilot stages.

Pre-Sales & Proposal Support

• Collaborate with pre-sales consultants to create proposals, solution documents, and cost estimates.
• Contribute technical content and architecture diagrams for RFPs and solution responses.
• Develop reusable cloud architecture templates and design standards.
• Support customer demos and presentations for cloud modernization initiatives.

Delivery Oversight

• Support delivery teams during implementation to ensure adherence to proposed architectures.
• Participate in design and code reviews for infrastructure and automation components.
• Establish best practices for security, compliance, and performance monitoring.
• Provide guidance on continuous improvement, scalability, and reliability.

Required Skills and Experience

Core Technical Expertise

• Deep hands-on experience in AWS, Azure, or GCP architecture, provisioning, and operations.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep) and CI/CD automation.
• Experience designing for scalability, security, and cost optimization.
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with data platform integration, APIs, and hybrid architectures.

Solutioning & Consulting

• Proven ability to translate customer requirements into secure and scalable cloud solutions.
• Strong knowledge of identity management, VPC design, and cloud security frameworks.
• Experience in creating technical documentation and customer-facing architecture materials.

Soft Skills

• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting ability.
• Collaborative working style across sales, delivery, and architecture teams.

Preferred Background

• Experience working in consulting or managed services environments with enterprise clients.
• Exposure to cloud-native AI/ML infrastructure, data lakehouse integration, or hybrid deployments.
• Cloud certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or GCP Professional Cloud Architect preferred.
