About The Role
Fortis Hospital, Dharamshala – a leading multispeciality tertiary care centre in Himachal Pradesh – is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate DM Neonatologist to join our Pediatrics & NICU team. The consultant will lead neonatal intensive care services, manage high-risk newborns, and contribute to academic & clinical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Provide specialized care to preterm and critically ill neonates in Level III NICU.

Manage high-risk deliveries, resuscitation, and neonatal emergencies.

Supervise NICU staff, including pediatricians, nurses, and fellows.

Perform neonatal procedures – intubation, surfactant therapy, exchange transfusion, central line insertion, ventilation management, etc.

Coordinate with obstetricians and pediatric surgeons for comprehensive neonatal care.

Counsel and support parents regarding neonatal health and long-term care.

Ensure adherence to hospital protocols, patient safety, and quality care standards.

Participate in CMEs, training programs, and academic activities.

Contribute to research, audits, and departmental growth initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience
DM / DNB (Super Specialty) in Neonatology from an MCI/NMC recognized institute.

Valid registration with the National Medical Commission (NMC).

0–5+ years of experience in Neonatology post DM/DNB.

Strong clinical, procedural, and leadership skills in NICU management.

Skills Required
