Perfusionist - CTVS

We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Perfusionist to join our Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery (CTVS) team. The ideal candidate will have experience handling cardiopulmonary bypass machines and assisting during open-heart surgeries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate the heart-lung machine and other perfusion equipment during cardiac surgeries
• Monitor the patients physiological status during procedures, including blood gases and coagulation
• Collaborate with cardiac surgeons, anesthesiologists, and operating room staff
• Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot perfusion-related equipment
• Prepare and manage extracorporeal circuits
• Participate in pre-operative and post-operative patient care discussions
• Maintain patient records and follow hospital protocols

Key Skills Required:

• Strong knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology
• Proficiency in managing CPB (cardiopulmonary bypass)
• Ability to work in high-pressure surgical environments
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• B.Sc. or Diploma in Perfusion Technology from a recognized institution
• Certification from a recognized perfusionist board (if applicable)
• 1-5 years of hands-on experience in a similar role
